A wine brand that bucks tradition.

Angelo Van Dyk doesn’t like to sit around and wait for adventure to find him, neither does his wine.

Yo El Rey is a wine brand for the bold, the clever and the adventurous. Equally at home on the back of motorcycle as it is paired with whatever you ordered from that white-tablecloth-multiple-forks-gratuity-included fine dining establishment you took your date to. Named for Pablo Picasso’s early-career habit of singing is paintings with ‘I am the king’, and born from the beautiful Stellenbosch wine region of South Africa’s Western Cape, this wine dares you get your hands dirty, take a hike, and crack a bottle open with those wild enough to come along for the ride.

I kicked this brand off with an expressive word mark, a color palette that demands attention, and a balance of striking black & white photography to set the story apart, and partnered with the uber talented Japes Fawcett to finalize the labels.
